How you are helping:

All of your donations go toward covering the costs set by the US contingent.

The included items are:

Jamboree Fee: A large portion goes toward the event costs itself

Airfare: Another large portion. Boston will be a hub site where I’ll meet up with other US contingent members to fly to Poland

Pre-tour: Before the Jamboree kicks off we will have a 4-5 day tour of Poland to bond as a contingent and explore incredible cultural sites.

Swag and Gear: Items like a duffle bag, a backpack, neckerchiefs, patches, t-shirts.

Tents and cots: Included so that we don’t all have to pack and ship our own gear.

Insurance: Not exciting, but essential for the trip.

Wow, that’s a lot!

This trip is definitely not inexpensive. The Jamboree fee alone is about $1770 after converting to USD. Airfare is expected to be about 1/3 of the overall cost. Summer is peak travel for Europe, so airfare varies quite a bit. Scouts will be flying from other major hubs like San Francisco and Seattle and we all split the cost.
